Kids ask the darndest questions …

What would I experience at a youth group meeting?

We have hands-on seminars and building sessions that cover — how to make scenery, how to make trees, building scenery with white bead board to using blue, pink foam board or the bounce back rocks, how to install Kadee couplers on your own model railroad equipment, and the list goes on.

If I am interested in joining the Youth Group, what do I need to know?

You can come with very little experience and learn while you are working. We accept all youth. If you have experience with railroading, you can help those children that need help with their trains while working on your own layout.

The Youth Group participates in the WISE Division’s Trainfest. Each boy/girl builds their own modular section under the supervision of modelers and parents.

Check the Waukesha County Gandy Dancers for Youth Group information. At each WISE meet, there is a contest held for youth. Check the Contest page for more details.

Join the Youth Group for a great time!!
